PrintSuperVision (PSV) is a web-based application for monitoring, reporting data, and managing networked printers.

PrintSuperVision.Net (Version 2.4) - This is the latest version of Print SuperVision. It has been written using Microsoft's .Net technology.

The main features of PrintSuperVision.Net are:

  • View the real-time status of all the printers

  • Report printer consumable usage (% toner, belt, fuser)

  • Manage consumable usage and replenishment

  • Email alerting of events such as low consumables or device errors

  • Cloning printer devices

  • Multi-file printing via FTP

  • Communicate with other servers running PSV using XML web services. This allows you to view remote device status, generate alerts and reports, even behind firewalls.

There are 2 parts to PrintSuperVision

  1. A web-based server application that provides the user interface
  2. A monitoring program (PrintSuperVisor) that runs all the time, collecting data and saving it in a database for statistical reports and sending e-mail alerts based on the saved configuration

PSV uses the SNMP protocol to communicate with printers over both IP and IPX network protocols.
